Dr. Steve Murphree
Dr. Steve Murphree brings over four decades of experience in dentistry and practice ownership to his role in dental practice transitions. A proud graduate of Auburn University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry, he spent 42 years in private practice, where he successfully founded and sold three thriving dental practices.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Murphree worked as a Practice Transition Consultant with Henry Schein for 2.5 years, guiding dentists through the complex process of buying and selling practices. His background also includes holding a real estate license, giving him unique insight into the business and property aspects of practice ownership.
With a blend of clinical, entrepreneurial, and consulting experience, Dr. Murphree offers trusted guidance to dentists navigating one of the most important decisions of their careers.
Dr. Samford
Dr. Samford brings more than 50 years of experience in dentistry, practice ownership, real estate, and practice transitions. After graduating from Auburn University (1969) and earning his DMD from UAB School of Dentistry (1973), he spent 48 years building a thriving private practice in Birmingham.
Throughout his career, he has been involved in multiple practice transitions, including the sale of his own, covered countless offices as a temporary dentist, and continuously studied the business of dentistry. His background also includes national lecturing, consulting with Birmingham-area practices, and earning his real estate license in 2021.
When he’s not helping doctors navigate the next chapter of their careers, he enjoys traveling with his wife, Joy, and being part of the lives of their eight grandchildren.
